Pros

Made great friends during my time here. The people I worked with were the only redeeming part of the job.

1. Management is disorganized and out of touch with what actually happens on the ground. 2. Expected us to give 110% while only paying $10/hour — completely unreasonable for the workload. 3. Goals were often unrealistic and demotivating rather than encouraging. When you know you can’t hit a target no matter how hard you try, what’s the point? 4. Micromanagement was excessive — we were constantly timed without any understanding of the task complexity. For example, being told to “rack up more” when there wasn’t even physical space left to do so. 5. Suddenly laid off all part-timers citing “poor market sales,” only to start hiring again shortly after. That felt more like a cover-up than a genuine business reason. 6. There’s a lot of finger-pointing and not enough accountability. Instead of blaming the team or the market, maybe take a look at internal operations and leadership. Other brands are doing fine — the problem isn’t the industry, it’s the way this place is run.

Pros

- Most coworkers in the outlet were nice (apart from a select few) - I only treated this as a very short term job to earn some cash so i didn’t really care that much BUT there were so many negatives

Kontras

- Management was pretty horrible (one of the worst places i’ve worked at) > expects us to give stellar customer service and watch customers like a hawk once they enter the store (basically like lululemon, but we are getting paid WAY less than lulu) which also in my honest opinion would make me uncomfortable as a customer if that was being done to me by store employees - Actively watched the cctv in the store live and would get a warning call straightaway from one of our bosses if we were deemed to “not be approaching customers actively” to ask if they need any help once they step foot into the store (how do u expect us to do this if multiple customers enter the shop at one time and some of them come in one grp?) - When working, me and my colleagues couldn’t even be seen standing too close to each other or talking in an empty store or we wld get scolded straightaway through a call (ridiculous) mind u, we were able to see the front of the store at all times and stopped conversing once customers entered… what else are we supposed to do if the store has been empty for most of our shift? theres only so much rearranging of racks/cleaning to do 🤡 - Very obvious preferential treatment to certain employees (giving them the shifts they wanted etc) and giving them a lot of grace, while not extending the same grace to other employees - Some of these “favorite” employees will actually “backstab” you if any problems arise (eg. by leaking private messages to management to divert blame)
