The customer demographic is on the kinder side. Only occasional “Karen’s”. Majority of colleagues are nice as well. Decent part time job if that’s all your looking for, they’ll hire you at $15/hour.
Kontras
There is so much under the surface. The leadership structure is that of popularity over knowledge. There are GMs and above (CCMM for example) that it’s quite confusing how they are in this role. Then there’s pay. If you stay with the company for an extended time, expect pay freezes and one 3-5% raise at best per year. The new CEO or whoever is in charge of compensation finds incentive bonuses to be an adequate bandaid opposed to actually addressing pay issues. Full time employees are making what they made 20 years ago with the company without even approaching the topic of inflation. 2/3 of the full timers in my location have a second job due to cost of living. Although another store, Walnut Creek can’t find any full time employees so they’re now hiring at 25% more than someone who has been with the company for 7 years. It’s not a place for a career unless you want to chase a carrot on a string.
