Lot of work. Good business development dep.good safety thoughts. Great thing I found working at Terracon is the options of traveling and helping other offices if your office is running low on jobs at a particular time. Your own initiative drives certifications (if you push forward with certs you can grow faster) Great if your a single person.The benefits (insurance/401k match) are good.

If your first engineering / consulting firm job it would be hard to support a family as pay is really low. High turnover . Long hours and working in various inclament weather at times. Poor comunication in terms of scheduling next days work.
