Poor leadership and management kept this company from becoming truly great. A lot of management was internally promoted without requisite experience for their positions so talent and growth were stymied. This led to entrenchment so that roles could not be filled with the right personell. Poor project management also was a constant hindrance to maximizing the team's potential.
