Pros
-Team members were usually nice and helped me learn the ropes. A lot even knew me by name. -Usually worked a 7-3:30 or 8-4:30 schedule. -Didn't need to spend a ton of money to follow the uniform policy -Learned a decent amount about HR
Kontras
-For the amount of work and stress, the pay was terrible. -Minimal training. The computer training really did not help at all. The cashier training did not prepare me to perform well at all. -STL and ETL's were very demeaning and talked to the HR TM's like we were dogs. I would be scolded when I did something wrong, but never appreciated when I went above and beyond what was asked. I was always expected to be two steps ahead of them. I cleaned and organized their personal desks the day before corporate visited, which I felt was very demeaning. They were usually young people who clearly did not know how to manage, and were quick to scold but very slow to praise. -The other HR TM who trained me was very mean and disrespectful. -I frequently had to skip my 15 minute breaks to get all the work done. -A lot of TM's confided in me about how much they hated their job. The store had a very high turnover and it was clearly due to management. -It was overall a very toxic environment, with poor management, training and culture, which lead me to give my two week notice.
