Pros
- no worse than working at other pharmacies overall - get more technicians than other pharmacies - I got almost a full month of training - most of the team are nice people - I like being able to price match / lower prices due to price challenge - makes people yell at you less - no drive thru window - sometimes they give you free stuff - ie. pizza, soft drinks, t-shirt, etc. - good $
Kontras
- from day 1 they talk about work-life balance but with unreasonable expectations, work-life balance is pretty much impossible. I regularly work 15-17 hour days when scheduled for 12 hour shifts. ETL pharmacy claims that she has excellent work-life balance but that doesn't appear to be the case from the hours I see her putting in - coworkers abuse the sick time policy with almost no repercussions - management is afraid to deal with problem team members - say they want your ideas for improvement but dismiss every idea without much consideration. Best just to shut your mouth, fill those Rx's lickity split, & try to keep your head down and metrics somewhat acceptable - you are micromanaged a lot - management often sides with abusive guests instead of team members, encouraging bad behavior
