Pros

Sutherland operates in a tough industry and head been doing this for a while. Very strong financial controllership. There are some great leaders who are trying to push the limits. It's generally a fair place with decent employee benefits. VPs & above get good perks...

Kontras

While the entire BPO industry itself struggles with margins & being ahead of automation, Sutherland felt like an average company that is just reacting and behind the innovation curve. It's leadership prefers a bureaucratic culture. (One had to submit airline-boarding passes in addition to 4/5 levels of approval for a business trip...) No one can define an overarching culture and the word "execution" gets thrown around a lot as it's proxy... Everyone is just firefighting There are a few nonmoving inventory in leadership that no one seems to do anything about. It's not a bad place, just not an inspiring one. It will just be a job @ Sutherland. Don't expect more.

Pros

Remote work and great coworkers

Kontras

Extremely low pay for the amount of work and the type of calls that you have to deal with. Lots of mircomanaging. Unrealistic metrics. Lack of knowledge and competency from leadership because at no point should your workers know more than you about the job itself. No care for unforseen life circumstances that affect your ability to work. Very stressful and mentally exhausting which often leads to burnout. No recognition for hard work and meeting metric goals. Too hard to get PTO approved. Tech and internal systems are always breaking which affects your ability to do your job. No one is ever on the same page which often leads to being given incorrect information. No room for growth or opportunities to go into other roles. Benefits are not that great. Mid health insurance plans, no 401K match, no parental leave, and no internet reimbursements. They'll sell you a fairytale in training so BEWARE.
