Some great managers that really fought for their team within the corporate monolith and tried to improve the day-to-day experience.
Kontras
Some bad managers that wouldn't hold some of the weaker links on the team accountable (some would sleep on the job, avoid calls, fake equipment issues, or arrive late habitually with 0 repercussions) that ultimately dragged the whole team's performance down. Not the only reason, but probably a contributor as to why a large contract with a huge business was cancelled and a mass layoff was done.
