Pros
The staff I work with are friendly and most provide excellent training. The work is easy and time tends to fly by, especially when it's busy. I work both day shifts and closing shifts and will soon be offered the responsibility to open the store. Pay is decent, at $18/hr (I'm 20).
Kontras
Some job responsibilities can be difficult to grasp at first, especially if you haven't received top-quality training. Some customers can be rude and will blame you for issues outside of your control. You may have to work with people you don't like. Whether or not your work/life balance is good depends entirely on how lenient your manager is. We also throw out so much food, including 30-60 loaves of perfectly edible bread each day, which makes me feel really awful and wasteful. Apparently, it's against company policy to donate any of the leftover food.
