I have worked many places where the leadership’s ethical standards could be questioned. Obviously leadership at any organization cannot be transparent to everyone about everything all the time but I go to work every day knowing that the people on the leadership team are genuinely good people with the best of intentions for the organization, the employees, and the community as a whole.

Long-standing history with all of the employees. Many employees have been with SJCPL a very long time and have worked in many different capacities which means that everyone has worked with or for everyone else which can create interesting dynamics.

Loved working for the library, it's incredible to be part of such an important community institution.

Some managers made doing your job difficult, or would try to deflect work to other departments instead of being a team player.
