I have been employed at Copper Springs in Avondale, AZ, for three years. This behavioral health hospital is a great place to work. I have had many opportunities to advance my career here as they promote from within whenever possible. The leadership team are open to new ideas and make efforts to include the staff on decisions that affect them. Patient safety is the core of practice. The leaders value the staff and find ways to recognize when staff do a great job. Fun days are planned such as superhero day or jeans day which helps lift morale. Scheduling is often flexible because they want to retain staff. In fact, their staff retention rate is really high for this setting. Many of us are still here since the hospital opened in 2016! So, if you are interested in working with people who are suffering with mental illness or chemical dependency, Copper Springs is the best hospital in Phoenix hand up!!!!
