I worked for the company two separate times for a total of more than 4 years (3+ as a store manager). I really liked the concept and think it's a great company... mostly. Some people take their jobs way to seriously and need to lighten up a bit. Other people were given way too much free reign while others were micromanaged by those with free reign. I have yet to find a company that I like as much as I did Sport Clips when I first started. I really believed in the company and all that went with it. The hours were amazing... way better than Great Clips!

Once the general manager of 5+ stores found a new favorite "pet" - you were kind of thrown to the side. Once I was promoted to store manager I never one time got a raise in over 3 years (even though we received many awards for performance at a slower store).

I know that it's sometimes easier to just walk away and not ever take the time to provide such valuable feedback but we can not tell you how important this is to us and the ongoing development of our Teams. I truly am sorry for your disappointment and our failure to meet your expectations. If I may, might I recommend that if you truly loved your experience so much, that perhaps you consider going to work for another store under different ownership. Perhaps that would yield a completely different experience. We have so many great stores and I am sure we have one that would welcome you on their Team!. .

The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
