I LOVE working for Sport Clips. I’ve been working for Sport Clips for over 5 years and compared to other environments I have worked in, I would say that Sport Clips ranks among the top in maintaining a FUN team atmosphere. This is a company that values their employees with a great family feel to it! My co-workers are supportive of one another . . . we enjoy the work we do and have fun while doing it. We always try to do a few friendly competitions to help motivate each other too. The Sport Clips management supports us with continuing education classes centered on client experience and products, in addition to opportunities for advancement. I enjoy the steady pace (BUSY!!=Happy) and clients who additionally make it a great place to be. Mainly only dealing with men is GREAT-we don’t have any chemical services and the guys are so much fun and laid back! Sport Clips is a "Championship Experience" for both clients and workers!

The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

Kontras

Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
