Pros

I loved this job, the job part isn't that bad. It's customer service over the phone so expect angry customers, expect to get cussed out, expected weird people, and even (thankfully rare) violent threats. You can also expect to have people who aren't mean. The work isn't bad and the pay honestly for what you do is phenomenal. The benefits are wonderful and not that expensive. There are so lots of places you can go from the bottom you just have to try. The management will work with you because training alone costs thousands of dollars for them. You have guaranteed hours there is no part time. Depending on what is going on you can get time off the phones for fun stuff, meetings, or educational stuff. I never saw a sup who wasn't busy. With the sales, my sup wanted us to get the things we are supposed to get done first and get through the call the right way before worrying about making sales. He was more focused on making offers and getting comfortable doing that.

I've heard many different things from people I worked with and your experience depends on how much effort you put into it and the team you get. I had a GREAT sup and SR, they were a great leading team and their manager was always friendly and willing to talk if you needed to. I've heard some teams are more strict and some people hate the job which can really bring down morale. I left because the quota for the job was too stressful. My sup worked with me to get it up, but ultimately it was too much for me. I've had a rough few years and don't really need extra stress. There are expectations for making sales, and whenever someone new came onto the team they would always say, "I haven't been trained for sales". That really doesn't matter you have to roll with the punches. At the time I left, making offers were required participation, but with my sup there was no requirement on making them. Still sales was pushed which adds more stress.

Company Provides Tools and Vehicle, they put your through the training you need. Lots of room to move up and improve.

Kontras

Days can be long, You will sometimes be sent over an hour away for jobs. You are not paid for your drive time to your first job or home from your last. You will have to repeat other techs that do not install according to company standards
