Pros

- The CEO, Maggie, and COO, Rebecca, have built an extremely special work culture. They are highly hands-on, approachable, and genuinely care about their employees and the company as it is their baby. - Open to ideas and feedback, very collaborative environment where every voice is valued - providing numerous opportunities for professional and personal growth for individuals with a growth mindset, ability to pivot and adapt, looking to think outside the box and contribute to creative solutions. - Maggie previously scaled one of Canada’s most awarded mobile app agencies, bringing over a decade of experience working together with her exec team assembling a world-class technology team. Working alongside geniuses! Its very very cool! - If you like to shop, shoes or bags - you get to work around luxury all day everyday.

Kontras

- The nature of the work is dynamic and ever-changing, which can feel overwhelming for those who thrive on predictability. - Tasks vary from day-to-day as it is constantly evolving, not a job with clear-cut responsibilities and minimal variation. - At times, an all-hands-on-deck approach is required meaning stepping outside your specific role to support the overall team when and where needed. If you prefer to work independently or strictly within your own job description, may not be the culture for you and you will find it difficult.

They don’t see you as valuable if your not making sales even though it’s all dependent on marketing , commission is impossible to make

Pros

You get to try on clothes and engage with viewers real time which is engaging and rewarding.

Kontras

They showed up in-person 40 minutes late and at the wrong location. ShopThing had a live security camera filming me while changing on the first day. They require you to drive to Woodbury 3x a week which means 6 hrs/day in rush hour traffic if you live in Brooklyn and they don’t cover most commuter costs. If you don't drive, you have to wait in line for a bus that's often filled up requiring you to stand outside for up to an hour for the next bus in all elements. They want you to film in outlet stores without permission, often getting thrown out for doing your job. One girl broke her back on her commute and the company doesn't offer health insurance. Somehow they expect you to earn $80k/month by your third month with the company hounding you to meet your sales goals. Girls often post 24/7 including weekends to meet their quota.
