(ironic, because it goes against the first con) 3. Raises? Ha! Only if you've been with the company for so long, doing more work than you agreed to do or even get paid to do, and after you've been laughed at in the face a few times. Raises might not be a common occurrence, but asking for them is... especially by longtime employees.
