There were opportunities to cross train and advance within company. Plenty of jobs were available to those who wanted to grow with the company.
Kontras
With merger and decentralization, many long time employees (25+ years) were let go even though they had years of experience, but I guess the company strategy is moving in a different direction and the current thinking isn't cutting it.
