Ridiculous policies - Mitarbeiter (anonym) bei Safeway: Mitarbeiterbewertung

Overall, working at Safeway is ok for an entry level job but as I was transitioning to another employer, the management refused to provide me with a reference. So no point in working there and building reputation just to hear that they don't want to vouch for you. It's the only company so far in my 15 years of experience that refused to provide references even though I was told by my manager that he would be happy to give me a reference. Silly? Yes. Fair? No.
