Sabre still operates as a holding company of airline software and is trying very hard to turn into a true tech company but industry and culture is holding it back. Can be difficult to break into leadership roles as executives seem to prefer external candidates. Many products are reliant on one subject matter expert or technology expert who built the product and that makes it difficult to work in an Agile environment, spin up new resources, innovate quickly, react to issues quickly, etc.
