Pros

Great people, nice open office, good staff discount, lots of social events, one day WFH per week

Kontras

High turnover rate. Surface-level people culture. Lots of secrecy from upper management, employees only get notified of any decisions very last minute and expect to execute flawlessly. Micromanaging management despite not admitting to it. Inexperienced upper management comes from a retail background and has no idea how to manage people or do their job. Lots of last-minute campaigns and ideas that are stressful, overtime is often expected during busy periods. Upper management makes decisions based on opinions. Decision-making is painful when upper management takes 3 business days to respond to anything. No long-term planning or structure in the business, resulting in very short-sighted decision-making. Many talented people are not being utilised in their jobs.

Pros

The brand seems like it’s doing well from the outside. Well, the PR team changed four times over the last three years. It seems the company may be experiencing leadership and reputation management challenges at the PR director level.

• A CFO was appointed while some internal leadership and workflow alignment challenges remained unresolved. • There was hesitancy to engage external maintenance support, resulting in some operational tasks being reassigned internally. • There appeared to be perceived favouritism within the organisation. • At times, concerns were raised regarding management communication, particularly around expectations related to overtime and scheduling flexibility. • Greater transparency around payment timelines would be helpful.
