Pros

Active employee groups. Increasing diversity in management and workforce. Big in our industry. Broad, experienced, knowledgeable rep network. Automated product sales applications let reps sell new product without factory involvement. Management is young and vibrant.

Kontras

I came to SPXFLOW via a company purchased by SPXFLOW. The bigger company is less in touch with customers and has forced us to do things the SPXFLOW way. IT tools, processes, and product technology are worse than what we had before. Our customer satisfaction keeps going down. Management applies 80/20 to everything which means the smaller units get minimal attention from top management and the wear and tear from that neglect is showing. 80/20 is great but it does not work if you apply it to everything. Management is inexperienced and sophomoric. Reps promise lead times to customers that the factory won’t support. Company culture is heavy on employees who have never been required to do anything other than their exact job. I see many process disconnects and few people who seem to care. Not sure if they know any better.

Pros

Awesome friendly people on the floor, supervisor is new to office came from floor so for now he is very approachable and when he can fixes issues of importance to floor employees very down to earth no attitude no taking things personal just tells you how it is. Most of the leads are awesome people and good leaders

Kontras

Scheduling of machined parts is way off making assemble times impossible, No support from office, Hr is bout useless, upper management talks a good game but only enacts it 30% of the time and if your unlucky enough to end up at Hobbs good luck getting any help for anything your the unwanted stepchild now also management makes promises raise to retain everyone then picks and choose who they actually give anything to basically making a good percentage of people think they're not wanted at the company.
