Training is intense and field work is highly demanding, but this intensity leads to solid experience. FE's are generally only employed straight from uni, so the recruitement process is highly competitive. Promotion of FE's into management is somewhat of a natural progression. Travel is expected and working in remote locations is inevitable for field staff. Overall, a highly rewarding job.
