Pros
I've enjoyed working at SAS and my focus is in an interesting industry that is doing real good for the world, which is sort of hard to find in tech. The expectations of me have always been reasonable, and I am given lots of time to do training. It is very rare that I have to work more than 40hrs in a week, and there is practically 0 expectation for me to log in during the weekend or on vacation for my role. The campus is amazing, with lots of cafeterias and gyms, and every employee gets their own office. We have been working from home during the pandemic, and have the ability to stay remote as long as we want, but I will likely be returning once all the facilities are open because it is a great work environment.
Kontras
The benefits are nice, but more tailored to people with families due to the great healthcare, on-site day care, and generous maternity/paternity leave. However, a lot of these don't benefit young single employees. Pay is also lower than many competitors and it can take a long time to get a promotion. However, I think the trade off is worth the work/life balance.
