Pros
I had a great manager. He was a great manager and person in general. Good benefits. Fast paced environment, there is always something to do. Very little to no drama. Annual raises are kind of a joke, but it is something I guess.
Kontras
However to go with my great manager, Ryder System does not care about you. You are a number the management team is also a number so it just depends who you report to how your experience will be within Ryder. You'd think they would value you more considering how hard is a time they have replacing normal employees. Work life balance is not real, unless you have a great manager. You have PTO you can use it but they do not care who you are and do not care who your family is or if you have one. Again, unless you have a great manager, which I did. Some other managers are very unkind though. Marketing calls. They take those more seriously than what you actually do day to day because they can see a number in a computer for it. For actually busy locations it's rather ridiculous. If you want to move up, be ready to relocate or get comfy where you are.
