Don't think working anywhere else will be as exciting and interesting

While their benefits aren't great, they aren't terrible either. They've medical, dental, vision, and 401k. They'll even pay you a little fringe benefit should you opt to not use their medical insurance.

You will be nothing more than a number to them. Any work issues and the like, they don't care. At best, they will mitigate the issue so that it's not a problem for them. At worse, they cut you loose faster than a vegan with diarrhea. Being paid what you are worth is the end goal of every employee; Rome will ensure that you are paid well below industry standard in an effort to save face with the DoD on their contracts. What better way to provide an excellent service by cutting pay to those who provide that service!
