Pros
Leadership provides a lot of transparency which is refreshing, there is a lot of trust with their employees. The pay is very competitive and stocks vest 4x per year equally. The company overall has shown to be flexible with an ability to react quickly to market feedback in most cases. Employees are provided with a lot of autonomy and the ability to have a seat at the table to build new offerings.
Kontras
This could be a pro or con but is a con for me, Roku believes heavily in office culture and plans to implement a 3 day in-office work week with 2 days WFH (Tu-Th office & M/F WFH) once safe. There are a lot of redundancies across email communications, meetings and approvers which do waste some time but there is positive momentum to address this in 2022. In terms of benefits, there is no 401k match, maternity leave is somewhat standard at 16 weeks paid, and lack of any additional benefits to support working parents.
