Pros
They will pay for your credential. The organization has lots of money, so you'll get tons of catered lunches and up-to-date stuff for your classroom.

Where to begin? It's only now that I've been away from Rocketship for several years that I can truly wrap my head around what a horrible work place it was. Words like "overworked, exhausting, micro-managed" come to mind but they are not strong enough to describe what the Rocketship structure is like for teachers. And to say that "some" people at Rocketship are unhappy is the understatement of the century. All of the teachers were absolutely beaten down mentally and exhausted. Same with the support staff. I had a talk with an administrator once who said "Rocketship is a Monday-Friday 7 AM to 7 PM job and if people can't handle that, they need to leave". So I left! I'll say one good thing about Rocketship administrators/higher-ups: they have really strong work ethics. Now I'll say the other side of it: The overwhelming majority of them don't have legitimate admin credentials (or even teaching credentials!) so they stay at Rocketship because they're stuck. I know people in management positions making 6 figures with no college degrees - those people **have** to stay at Rocketship working 12 hours a day because there's no other way they can make that kind of money. So they stay at Rocketship, become miserable, and spread their misery. My advice to the people working there: if you want to stay in education, get your credential and leave immediately. If you don't want to stay in education, leave immediately. Trust me, it isn't worth it.
