Pros
The non-managers (engineers, sales, finance, etc.) are passionate and great co-workers.
Kontras
From the top down, the company messages, values, strategy, and overall leadership are at best misguided and aimless, at worst downright dictatorial and discriminatory. Over the last 5 years, the company has spent millions on consultants and coaches to help talk about making the company better, without actually doing so. Same with marketing gimmicks. There has been nearly 100% turnover of the entire executive team in the last several years. No female leadership remains at the company as every woman who has held an executive title has been either terminated or demoted. Go check the website, and look through the 100% middle-aged white male demographic of leadership. It is often touted as having "great benefits" but in reality they don't compare to the competitive benefits at other technology companies, and whatever benefits are good are constantly being thrown in people's faces as examples of why they should be thankful - and get constantly threatened of being taken away since they are so "non-market." There are multiple levels of bureaucracy, despite poor company growth and no justification for extra paper-pushers in every non-technical department. The CEO used to sit in a cubicle with everyone else and outlawed org charts, to send home the message that everyone was on the same team - but it has become extremely hierarchical, constantly reminding everyone of how low they are on the totem pole and how important the executives are. The last 12 months have seen a mass exodus of talent, from those who used to love the company but have seen that there is little growth, personally or for the company, in store for the future.
