Pros

the insurance benefits are very good, the culture is very good. The managers are good listeners and will take time to communicate with the employees. This is a very safe and comfortable place to be employed.

Kontras

There is no bonus structure. In three years we have not received any bonuses except for a 500 dollar Christmas bonus. People have been leaving the company due to aggressive recruiting and better salaries and bonuses from other companies. It seems like Rochester is lacking any kind of employee retention incentives. They seem to wait until you have an offer in hand before trying to attempt to counter offer. This needs to be addressed for this company to be top notch.

Pros

- Supportive owners and a generally well-run company that takes care of its employees - Uncapped bonus structure - Good medical benefits and work life balance - Some genuinely good colleagues - Don't worry about how well/bad you perform; rewards/promotions/pay adjustments are definitely not based on these - A comfortable place for those planning for retirement or not focused on career growth. If you are seeking career progression, opportunities are limited unless you navigate internal politics wisely.

Kontras

- Blatant double standards; at times it feels like a “cowboy town”. - Recognition can goes to undeserving individuals. More qualified individuals are often overlooked despite being more capable. - Unofficial authority can be abused by some from the “inner circle.” - Experience can vary depending on your gender - Certain toxic and petty leadership running the show; if you didn't feel it, you are part of it. - Micromanagement due to insecure leadership - Ambiguity at its peak; certain leadership is unclear what he/she wants and try to shrink away from making direct decisions so as to have a scapegoat. - Gaslighting and undermining your contributions is the culture in some places. - Meetings are not conducted in English at times; insensitive to those who doesn't understand native languages, not that leadership cares. - There will be times you are required to remind people to do their jobs (yes).
