There is no appreciation or recognition of 'above and beyond' efforts, and no concept of work/life balance. Employees are treated as expendable and expected to work essentially unlimited hours. Morale is non-existent on most teams, with many senior managers openly berating and belittling their employees in public. Intra-department animosity is allowed to fester and affect individual morale and performance. Very little coaching or mentoring going on.
