Pros

You get a lot of practice with reporting to CPS, Texas Licensing Board, BACB, and other regulatory bodies.

Kontras

There are little to no ethics in this clinic. The goals of the company are to force compliance until the children with ASD present as "normal". The punishment protocols allow for children to be locked in rooms alone, left in soiled clothes, physically restrained, and yelled at by authority figures such as BCBAs. They target employees that are new to the field, that makes it easier to justify their practices. Most of the BCBAs started in the company as BTs and signed extensive contracts that are not fair to individuates that are just motivated to help kids. Hours are not consistent, most locations do not have the needed support staff. You are punished for bringing any concerns to leadership, and they do NOT encourage working together as a team. They have had multiple child abuse and misconduct reports made about them, however the owner is good at protecting her people, even if it means more kids get hurt. If you care about children, know that it is your job to protect them, and don't tolerate unethical practices, look anywhere else. Between the ongoing investigations and the horrific leadership, its not a safe space for kids or employees. This clinic is why people fear ABA and why adults talk about the abuse that happens in them. Do better Amy.
