Pros

If you are prepared to accept that things sometimes move slowly in large companies, RX is a fantastic place to learn about business in general, and the events industry specifically. An extremely professional outfit in all the key places, with some of the best brands and events you will visit across the globe. Genuine opportunities to travel to all corners of the world, and to learn a lot whilst doing so.

Kontras

Targets were sometimes a little unrealistic due to demands from shareholders and upper management's fear of appeasing them at all costs. Some cases of people consistently missing targets, yet there being no apparent ramifications as a result. Whilst I don't advocate a culture of fear, it did have the opposite result of making people a little too comfortable at times.

Pros

Opportunity for growth within the company, great focus on not only retaining but growing inhouse talent. Tons of different sales roles to apply for. Ability to work remote full time.

Kontras

Perhaps not the most competitive salary initially but can easily work your way into one.

Pros

The hybrid work model, I guess?

Kontras

Do yourself a favor and filter this section to only the 1 star and 2 star reviews, because those are the only accurate reviews, at least for RX Global in the Norwalk office. At RX, you are overworked, but also underpaid and undervalued. Employees at this company are just a number. You are paid a comically low salary, no overtime, and HORRIBLE benefits, all for them to use and abuse you. You are expected to work overtime throughout the entire year. You are not only expected to travel for your own shows, but you are also required to volunteer for other shows and attend other external events throughout the year, that always fall over weekends. Have a good idea? Something that can propel the business forward? Doesn't matter! Unless you are VP level or above, your ideas are worth nothing— If anything, they're laughed at. On that note, unless you are VP level or above, not only do you have no autonomy, but you are essentially a dumping ground for admin work. And last but not least, the company culture is one consisting of gossip. Be prepared to be gaslit, micromanaged, and emotionally manipulated if you consider working here. Oh also, non-existent growth opportunities!
