Pros
Depending on your team, you could work with some brilliant people on very interesting projects. Great work-life balance. Low-pressure atmosphere for most. Plenty of PTO and all holidays, including year-end shutdown.
Kontras
It's a roll of the dice whether you end up on a good team. Raises/promotions are highly dependent on your section manager, who you may not ever even meet in person and who may or may not be involved at all in your work. Fairly strict policy of 2 years between promotions can be very demotivating.
