Pros

The benefits are on par with the rest of the healthcare industry.

Kontras

Reluctant to raise wages for experienced and long-time employees to keep pace with the higher wages of entry level new hires. Raises do not keep up with inflation. My raise last year was $0.13. This was the only raise I received without rearing my head. HR doesn't do their due diligence in investigating complaints which I have now experienced multiple times. Until working for this company, I never so much as received a write up during my entire job history.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Kontras

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
