Pros

Proximo offers a strong work life balance and employees are generally not bothered after hours or on weekends, and there’s a shared understanding that this boundary is part of the company culture. The people are genuinely kind and collaborative, making it easy to build friendships and develop meaningful relationships with There’s also the added perk of access to an ongoing supply of company products, which can be a fun benefit. The organization also provides a notable level of ownership compared to larger companies because Proximo operates with a lean structure and decisions don’t always need to go through multiple layers of approval. This makes it possible to bring ideas to life if you’re proactive and passionate about them. Compensation is competitive and aligns well with market rates.

Kontras

The talent pool particularly at the senior leadership level can be questionable, which leads to a lack of structure and direction for the broader organization. Strategic rigor is not evident in decision making, and as a result, many initiatives fail to deliver meaningful impact. There is also a noticeable degree of internal politics that can influence employee experience and progression. This also heavily varies based on the leadership members you are under. Factors such as cultural alignment or language skills may play a role in visibility and favorability, basically if you speak Spanish, you’re good to go here. Promotions are not always clearly tied to measurable performance or merit, but rather to subjective assessments from leadership. Role expectations and qualifications can vary widely across the organization. It’s very common to see managers with significantly different levels of experience operating at the same level/title. There’s also zero accountability at Proximo. You can drop the ball many times and it can go unnoticed, no one will say anything. Overall, the company is a very comfortable place to maintain work-life balance but if you’re highly ambitious, looking for structured development, strong mentorship, and fast paced growth, this may not be the place for you.
