Pros
- Extremely smart developers, project managers and QA professionals - Ability to work remotely - Somewhat flexible hours (in the beginning) - You'll feel pretty special and important for about 2 minutes (this is especially true in the interview process)
Kontras
- Nothing you do will be good enough. You'll bust your tail and be expected to do more, more, more. You'll say you're burned out, nothing will be done and ironically, they'll present a slide in the company meeting about avoiding burnout, yet you will be told personally "we're all busy, get over it" - Insane workload and hours. You can forget about having a personal life. If the boss wants something, he'll be relentless until he gets it - Be prepared to give the same information 10 different ways because management didn't like it the first 9 times you did it - Management has selective amnesia. You'll have to send the same thing 10 times - If you question anything, you will be belittled and made an example of publicly - Your professionalism and experience will be questioned and you'll be undermined on a regular basis - Meetings and decisions will be made behind your back, yet you're expected to execute on promises you weren't made aware of - You might be asked to be unethical and lie to clients. - Bogus reviews are made by internal employees to keep the truth on page two.
