Pros
Pay was decent for the mind-numbing job I was hired for, and I had a pretty large work space.
Kontras
From the first day I walked in the door I couldn't believe how rude and unwelcoming some of the more senior staff were towards me within my department. The people outside of my department, were great but unfortunately I was told on day 2 that the upper management of my department doesn't speak to new hires for the first six months of employment. What a joke. That should have been my first red flag, I then proceeded to witness the daily demeaning session from the same upper management every morning during our "daily stand up", I was in shock at the way they talked down to everyone and that everyone appeared to be walking on eggshells. It wasn't until I was spoken to in this manner that I realized that this place was allowing this behavior and that the others in my department were too afraid to say something or speak up so this was going to continue regardless. I expressed this information to the HR department, and received little to know support. No direct deposit, and the overall feel of the company is very aged. I felt like I was walking into a time warp. By creating more efficient up to date work flows, policies, the company could be saving on resources and staff accordingly. Lastly, I was also told that I was not allowed to take any breaks throughout the day aside from lunch but I could go to the bathroom and get up to walk around for a few minutes if I needed to get a refresh. When I asked why I couldn't take a 15 minute break if I needed to, I was told that it was because I was salary and not hourly. And even though an hourly person working the exact same hours as me could take a 15 minute paid break every four hours worked, I was not allowed to because of my payroll status.
