Pros
I am adding this 2 year after leaving the company. This company has a culture that I miss to this day. It set me up for success and it gives you a network of engineers many of which you would keep running into down the line if they stayed in the field. I know I have. 3-4 years into automation most peers have moved on to full time roles at good companies making respectable money. Look long term. They pay a bit less but the perks are great and its a good way to get into automation. Also time off was nice.
Kontras
Some people get stuck into not so nice projects, but you can always request a change by asking your RSL. I was pulling robots at symbotic at one point for a month. Did not felt like i learned anything. The layoffs were brutal but i am hoping they have switched to responsible hiring.
