Pros

Ability to learn new things. Work with very knowledgeable people on the ground. Many good connections. New leadership has been brought in, which seems to be shaking up the old guard a bit and bringing in changes for the better - they seem to listen a bit more.

Kontras

Employee overwork to the point of burnout - everywhere. Feeling that employees are looked at only as "machines". Pay is well under industry average. Benefits are very bad. Most employees felt as if there was nowhere for them to go and that management were abusive in their demands.

Exciting company culture and fast paced. Management wants their employees to succeed and thrive.

Some leadership changes towards the end of my work there, but it seems like that has been smoothed out.

Pros

Remote or Hybrid work schedule, if you live outside of the city limits. Unlimited PTO policy, but is PTO ever unlimited.

Kontras

There is not much room for advancement, if you’re not connected. Most of middle management and above are not POC. All the strong POC leaders were here today, gone the next day! The staff is overworked and underpaid. Only way to receive a higher salary is to resign and reapply. I survived a few CEOs, and once this last one came in all the tenured staff were being let go. Normal, if a new Executive comes in but there people were 15+ years in. This new PlanSource does not seem as if it cares much for their employees. Most of the workload is being outsourced to India. I’ve seen good, hardworking dedicate people get axed during my time! Not sure they’re invested in retaining good talent! Definitely a swim or sink culture, You will not get much help with learning the Benefits Admin system. It’s sort of a self-guided dive in approach.
