Although the company seems is making somehow a transition toward a modern managerial direction, too many the relevant decisions are taken by the owner family by their taste. This is not a bad thing per se, but can lead to a well known path where relationships are more valuable than merit. I think this is the case. Some managers are outclassed in competence by their subordinates, the owners and their relatives can just follow their caprices, even if they clearly bring more harm than good to the company. Work life balance just doesn't exist, no smart working, no flexibility.
