Pros
The junior/mid/senior level people are amazing. Some managers are too. A lot of great talent, even though it usually isn't appreciated or utilised well. Equipment is generally pretty great too.
Kontras
Let me be clear, Phantom used to be great, but it's changed in recent years, especially within the last 6 months. I think that's reflected in the Glassdoor reviews (apart from the last one which clearly reads like it was posted by one of the founders to bump up the company's score). - Office in Soho is a downgrade from the Farringdon office. It's also a horrendous rush hour commute 3x a week. - Perks like free lunches, open snack bar, and finish early Fridays have been nixed. - It's fairly impossible to progress and they'll give you no concrete reason why you aren't, even if you have perfect performance reviews. If you do progress, 9/10 it's because you're rubbing shoulders with one of the founders (everyone is aware of this, everyone is disgruntled by it). - They say wages are competitive (they aren't). - There is no HR. - They say the office is dog-friendly. Really you have to tie the dog to the desk and the building is strict about registering dogs in the first place. - The communication is god awful. Critical information like where we were moving office was kept secret until a few days before the move. Other decisions (like nixing lunches), happens without any communication at all. I could go on, but I think that's enough. This place is just not a vibe.
