Pros
When I was originally hired, I had just graduated from technical school and did not have a lot of related experience in the IT field. I'm grateful the managers at PCS where willing to take a risk on someone who was just getting started with their career. There is a very friendly atmosphere from other co-workers, and competitive compensation compared to related positions in New Jersey.
Kontras
Since the company is fairly small, don't expect promotions to new responsibilities if you are planning on becoming a certified technician. Although I received reimbursement and a raise for passing the "Comptia Network+", "Cisco CCNET" and "Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching exams"; I did not receive a promotion to a new job description.
This isn't really a "Con" because the management is not required to promote any employee at any time just because they have passed a certification exam. However, It is something to keep in mind if you have your long term career goals in mind.
