Pros

You get a paycheck and you may meet some awesome co-workers (if they're still there).

Kontras

This company doesn't appreciate the talent they have. They want you to work as long as you can with no concern for your children or personal life but are quick to point out when you are ONE minute late coming in (when you've stayed until 7:30pm the night before and were supposed to get off at 5:30) . Wait, but that's only for some people...hence, the inconsistency of policy enforcement. Management is definitely a big problem. They change policies to suit the company, not the customer. Policies only mattered when it came to certain employees. Others were allowed to bring in family members (who could see confidential information), a crate full of cats, and who/whatever else they wanted. Cussing and yelling loud enough for customers to hear is the standard in the operations department. I've NEVER worked for a company where you have to earn holiday hours. Now, let's talk about training. THERE IS NONE. Sitting at someone's desk for about a day while they run around and answer phones is not proper training. There is no manual that any new person would be able to follow as a processor. Once a week, we sat in "training meetings" and learned absolutely nothing. Wait. We learned about everything we were doing wrong. Never any positive words or encouragement. We were expected to try to sell customers on products were weren't properly trained to use ourselves. Pay: This company pays on the VERY low end of the totem pole compared to other payroll companies. You get bamboozled with the promise of "bonuses" which amount to less than what was needed to pay for a Happy Meal. And the pay dates themselves are ridiculous. Oh, and you get told that if you just considered it a job and were there just to get a paycheck, you should leave. But, why else would anyone work there except for a paycheck? Unless you have worked there 6 years or more, you probably won't last more than a couple...if that long. That good old revolving door... I don't know about the other branches, but the Atlanta branch is nothing but a glorified sweatshop. If you want to work extra long hours with little to no compensation, get yelled at constantly about what you're doing wrong, accept meager earnings, and earn half a minute of vacation/holiday time every pay period this is the place for you. Otherwise, RUN in the other direction quick, fast, and definitely not slow!

From Doug Tanner - Atlanta Branch Manager Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts and concerns regarding Corporate Payroll Services. Our management team makes hard decisions every day and those decisions may not always be supported or understood by each and every employee. This is a very high-demand job and in turn has the tendency to become highly stressful as well. We do agree that our training program has not been up to par. We have recently implemented an updated and rigorous training program that has already yielded measurable results. In addition, we have implemented specialized and focused weekly training sessions intended to focus on the area needed most that particular week, as well as personalized one-on-one training to assist in the area(s) our individual processors may require. We are also looking into ways to alter our base pay, bonus, and time off policies and accruals to reflect the value we see in our employees. We appreciate the time and hard work you put in during your tenure at CPS and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Remote and a few of the people there are amazing

Micro management at its worst! Hire you for one thing and switch and bate! Expected to make sales less than a month in with no training at all or showing how processes are done and how their sales cycle works as well as leads which none are given! How can you expect someone less than 30 days to start making sales of 10k +?
