Pros

Wonderful team environment. If you like constantly learning new things, this is the job for you. This is a young company that is constantly adding jobs, products, processes, and benefits. The unofficial motto is " the only thing constant at Paycom is change." It is very exciting to be at a company that is growing and changing. There is always opportunities to grow professionally. Also, I have grown personally in so many ways. My teammates are the best coworkers/people you will ever meet. The management is always there to help you improve.

I love my job, but I believe I would be doing future employees a disservice to not be honest. This job is challenging. It is a payroll company and people are very serious about their money (of course!). Our end of the year/end of last quarter needs from our clients are extensive and you will log in alot hours. Luckily, your team and you are in it together. Plus, you are encouraged to give feedback on anything that you can see needs improvement.

Get to meet new people every day, the environment and culture is amazing, and I am always welcomed wherever I go!

Stressful getting the hang of things. Took a couple months. Very worth sticking around because there is great potential to move up.

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
