Pros

I loved my job, until I I was denied advancement although I was already doing the work. The unnamed person in Workforce Human Resources, had no HR background/experience, started out at a entry level position and zoomed up to EVP in 3-4 years, with apparently no proper training or guidance. This advancement what would normally take 15-20 years with a company this size. Managing people with more experience, knowledge, expertise, aptitude, insight, intellect, skills , and more professionally seasoned than him. As an immature professional he doesn't have the aptitude, sensibility, or humbleness to even sharpen his managerial skills as a young new manager to understand how to best manage his professionally mature direct reports. I am not sure if he is someone's family member or did a lot "special" favors, but he's not qualified for any of the roles to have lightening fast advancement. He is so insecure and incompetent that he says "yes" to all the wrong things, overruling his managers decisions, making them feel useless and disrespected. To top it off, he rejects feedback or input from his team. This unwarranted advancement created a monster of inflated arrogance, making him feel he can tell more qualified people than him, that they were not experienced enough for advancement. The company is unintelligent thinking people should work more above their paid job, to then get advancement. The unnamed HR VP fir HR for supports this nonsense and is ineffective. Get the money and position you want upfront, don't fall in love with the name and the fame. If you have a better opportunity take it, don't stay hoping things will get better.

Pros

- Benefits - At the Digital Specialist, Account Manager, and Account Executive level the people are mostly incredible to work with internally - Most AEs are able to have their own offices, which helps significantly to drown out the noise of senior management

- CEO / Culture post Skydance merger: I never thought I would ever be in a position where I would want to leave a company because of the people. But that is starting to become the case. ELT/SLT does not care about the culture, hard workers, or rewarding loyalty. They will treat you like a number because the only thing anyone cares about (and its so apparent more than ever) is the bottom line. - Compensation and values - working for Viacom and CBS / ViacomCBS / Paramount before Skydance actually felt like it meant something. Now, no one knows if we're even valued and more often than not we're made to feel like every day of our lives here we have to prove our value over and over again. You never genuinely feel safe or comfortable here because there's going to be layoffs every 6 months. Other tech companies will give better compensation - Paramount needs to up their game if they don't want to continue losing their best talent. - You're literally just a number here. The company does not reward hard work or loyalty so it's best to just watch your own back because no one will have it here. They have let go of the best leaders that I've ever come across and have kept toxic egos only because they know how to play the toxic game that working here has become
