Super talented people with great experience from several studios and great connections for projects all over the country.

Kontras

Mostly a programming house with few designers of quality.

We have grown quite a bit in the last 5 years, are now a full-service shop for all disciplines, and even members of our engineering team have strong design sensibilities and expertise.

Pros

Software Engineering house. They interview for personality and try to maintain a culture they like and can control. They are protective of a 40 hour work week. They have tons of events. The events, movie days, game jams, game tourneys, ...etc. are amazing! They are reasonable managers and will seek to be helpful.

Kontras

There's a certain company culture here. Passive is not quite the right word. Everyone is overly polite, and has a tendency towards avoidance. Every conversation is painfully superficial. Don't expect to make deep meaningful relationships. This is a place with the attitude of getting there no earlier than you have to and leaving as soon as possible. This avoidance and lack of passion is a certain type of company culture. Ambition will die here. They don't work on big titles nor create unique products. It's a porting house full of employees looking to get a paycheck and move on. Employee goals and rewards are not well communicated if you need expectations clearly laid out for what's expected or how to show initiative. Ambition will die here. I can't quite tell. But I get the impression they use mid/end year reviews to play head games and that is how they manage people who need managing. It's hard to tell, but that would be the point. Either grain of salt and so on... They definitely do reward people behind closed doors. I suppose that's a good way to keep people guessing and not develop expectations. But it also keeps employees guessing at how to be more successful. You get it, pacifying ambitions and all...
