Pros

Sometimes I felt like they were trying to make changes for the better, but at the end of the day there were no substantial changes and it all felt very performative.

They will hire literally anyone. The 2-3 rounds of interviews are nothing but a formality. This was my first job in a corporate environment (their usual victims) and I was so excited to be offered a position. Shortly after training I realized they would take any random person off the street as long as they can speak English. The only reason why this job is not hybrid/remote is because that would make it much more difficult for managers to play the babysitter role. Every second of your day is monitored from bathroom breaks to your 1 hour unpaid lunch. Some managers are nicer and more personable than others which could be considered a pro, but they are under just as much scrutiny from upper management as the agents are, so they are often forced to do things they do not agree with. The actual work that you do is incredibly inhumane. There are times when you can genuinely help a client. Reduce the cost of a live saving medication, get them a grocery allowance they didn't know they were eligible for. These instances are few and far between. For the most part, you will be encouraged to always pitch something, even if it is detrimental to the client and their wellbeing. Client doesn't know they're getting $3,000 a year for dental? Put them on the plan that gives them $1,500 and act like you're saving their life. You will literally see notes on leads like "knows he is receiving highest grocery card." Implying, of course, that if the client did not know they were receiving the highest allowance then the agent would put them on something that gave them less. If you have an ounce of empathy in your soul you will often find yourself questioning your values and the lengths you would go to just to get a sale that will add $25 to your paycheck. In conclusion, stay as far away from this place as humanly possible. If I had been smart enough to read reviews and do more research before accepting my offer here, I would have continued to work in the food service industry until something better came along. This job is not worth your sanity. The fake first year earnings they say you will make are not worth it. The shady business practices and taking advantage of vulnerable populations is not worth it. It's only a matter of time until Medicare shuts this place down, and they are already tightening regulations as a result of companies like OneDigital. This company will not exist in 5 years. Good riddance.

Pros

Strong company culture focused on taking care of employees and clients. Excellent place to work, as long as you're willing to put in the time and effort.

Kontras

Not necessarily a con. Still a relatively young, and growing firm that is building out structure.

Pros

The people you meet who do the same thing as you and 10% of the sales managers are great and actually normal

Pay is terrible. In the interview they make it seem like you will be making $50k+ after you close some calls but it takes 1.5+, probably 2+ years to even get a $1 raise based on sales. You get 6 hours of PTO a month which is not even a full day and they fire people who go over. They expect you to dial with no breaks in between dials for 8 hours if you do not close your inbounds, which are all based on luck. The role requires minimal selling skills and success is 80% based on luck and who you get on the phone which is all based on a queue. If you do not convert these the inbound leads they have you dial all day and the #s you dial, probably 30 other agents have dialed already that same day. Feel bad for the people who are in their CRM because they get double digit calls each day from us. Oh yeah, and your bathroom breaks are timed.
