Pros

Lots of PTO, flexibility in schedule

Not many ways to move up in the company, leadership is very hierarchical and does not listen to lower level staff, all staff have to participate in other department's events as requirement of their position, decisions about programs do not typically take into account what community members want or need, many managers lack adequate managing skills, and needs to do a lot more work on racial equity practices internally and externally

Management is available to talk about claims questions. There are a lot of different forums to bring claims to for different things.

There are a lot of different forums to bring claims to for different things. A few are mandatory before making a decision, which doesn't help the confidence of their examiners. Any new task / function / feature is automatically put on examiners and/or TLs. Examiners are responsible for * a lot * and the pay doesn't always reflect this.
