Pros
Free lunch fridays and the team itself was a pretty good bunch.
Kontras
The consultants employed by the company are shielded from almost all of the negative, so their perspective is skewed to a much more positive slant. Even then, benefits are lower than most other agencies. Actual in-house employees are treated like utter garbage and I've witnessed the owner fly off the handle at my former colleagues over the most minor style differences. He is extremely condescending and talks to everyone like they're his 5 year old children. New employees are not afforded the opportunity to receive quality training or learn and grow. Their idea of formal training is a series of outdated webinars which doesn't count for much these days. Processes are not explained or taught yet employees are still expected to know and abide by them. He has an extremely rigid methodology and is the worst micromanager I've ever worked with in my life. If things are not done exactly the way he wants, then he will berate and belittle the offender to the point of tears. No rhyme or reason is given for why processes are in place, just that it's how he's always done it. Constructive inputs are taken with a robotic Zuckerberg smile response and subsequently ignored. In a bait and switch type of transaction, what's promised in the interviews for compensation becomes a much lower comp when the other layers to the commission plan are revealed. He'll only reveal the max comp in initial discussions and the hidden tiers are revealed only on the commission statement. There is a constant turnover in the account management team due to these factors.
