OPSWAT is a product company, which means that it's selling its own products to customers. Usually, the engineering teams are pretty autonomous and are given free rein over what technologies to use on projects.

Kontras

Company is going through serious growing pains while trying to define its identity. There is this lingering feeling of uncertainty permeating through each project. It's also pretty aggressive with layoffs, whether due to performance or monetary aspects.

Pros

In my 8 months of interning at OPSWAT, the work culture stood out like no other. From the first day I was greeted and welcomed by several people around the office. I always looked forward to team/office lunches and playing ping pong with my peers. I was also able to take on important projects and regularly meet with customers and prospects. Lastly, everyone wants you to succeed, and as an intern everyone is willing to help you grow. I have learned so much throughout my two sessions as a Product Manager Intern. I would recommend this position and OPSWAT to anyone as it is a great place to work.
